Junior Java Developer

A growing technology company is in need of a junior java developer. This position will build reporting tools using Oracle call tracking, monitor and manage solutions database, monitor customer support systems, support the Customer Support Lab, write complex SQL queries, and manage the EES servers.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a team player, a leader, and have an eye for detail. Three to five years of experience required.

Network Engineer

The network engineer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network applications and hardware - Routers, switches, IP telephony, Call Manager, Unity Voice Mail, data networking, network security, MPLS, frame-relay, DSL. This responsibility encompasses a spectrum of roles and responsibilities from network support, implementation and testing, and may include project management of any or all of these phases of networking.

Qualifications: Knowledge in planning, design, support and implementation of voice and data networks in a Cisco environment. Knowledge of Cisco IP telephony and Call Manager a plus. CCNP, CCVP a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation Package: 65-75K

QC Technician

Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years experience as a Tape Operator/QC Technician at a post-production company. Must know broadcast standards, scopes, NTSC, PAL, DIGI BETA, BETA SP, DVCAM, MPEG2 compression and Encoding. Must be familiar with VOD and Cablelabs.

Business Objects Developer

The Boston office of a growing international software company is offering an exciting position as Business Objects Developer. As Business Objects Developer you will be responsible for expanding, modifying and maintaining the company’s standard US reports as well as client specific reports. You will interview customers to understand requirements and develop report specifications and assist with developing report estimates based on requirements and scope by directly communicating with clients and other developers.

Qualifications: Technical qualifications include: expert in BO (Business Objects) Universe Design, Architecture and Development; minimum 3 years development experience with BO 6.0 (knowledge of XI r2 preferred); solid knowledge and understanding of the web intelligence (webi) piece of XI release2; experience with IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle – complex SQL queries; experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows 2003 server; data modeling, data warehousing, ETL experience, with tools like Data Integrator, Kettle or Informatica; working with web technologies (HTML or XML), application server environments (ASP, JSP, JAVA, or NET) and web servers (IIS or Apache). General qualifications include: the ability to communicate with clients clearly and concisely in non-technical terms; strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills; strong background in systems/business analysis documenting and implementing reporting requirements; ability to follow standards for procedures and documentation; understanding of financial business system; familiarity with corporate finance and accounting processes and terms.

Web Portal Developer

The Boston office of a growing international software company is offering an exciting position as a Web Portal Developer. As Web Portal Developer you will be responsible for expanding, modifying and maintaining the company’s standard US Portal components and Industry Accelerators as well as client specific Portal components. You will interview customers to understand requirements and develop Portal specifications and assist with developing Portal estimates based on requirements and scope by directly communicating with clients and other developers.

Qualifications: Technical qualifications for this position include 3-5 years experience with Java, Java Script, JSP, ASP, HTML, XML, C/C++, .Net; experience with databases structures, preferably MS SQL Server or Oracle databases; must have practical experience using data access technologies such as ODBC; experience with Apache and IIS Web Servers; strong programming skills; experience with client/server, n-tier architectures or we based enterprise applications; BSc in Computer Science or similar field preferable; strong oral and written communication skills; self-motivator; must be willing to learn a new language (Mscript); must be able to demonstrate version control; must be experienced with the full project life-cycle; and must be able to work under strict deadlines/timescales.

Java Software Engineer

A Boston-based online business supply company is offering an exciting position as a Java Software Engineer. They are seeking a highly qualified, highly motivated individual who enjoy the challenges of creating enterprise-caliber Java systems. This person is expected to interface extensively with the rest of the team, but also be able to carry out a project or task independently with little supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong Java and object-oriented design background and will help create and maintain web-based e-commerce applications for the company’s web site. Responsibilities include making enhancements to the core quoting engine and internal management applications; architecting, designing, developing and testing the software systems for future products; participating in regular team design and code review meetings.

Qualifications: Required skills for this position include a minimum of 3 years experience with Java and internet development; excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; experience with Java J2EE, JDBC, Servlets, JSP and/or JHTML, Oracle and PL/SQL; strong object-oriented design skills; experience with HTML, JavaScript Jakarta Struts, Hibernate, XDoclet, XML, and XSL highly desired; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Technical Trainer

An international business software provider is looking for a Technical Trainer to create and execute all technical training courses. These courses will be designed to inform customers, partners and employees of the company’s product. The courses must be created to reach a global audience and be able to transcend all international barriers. The individual in this position will be responsible for the development and implementation of these courses, working cohesively with product experts, becoming a product expert themselves and other responsibilities as they present themselves. A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required, as well as, 5+ years in technical training and development experience and 2+ years in systems design, web development and project management.

Qualifications:

Compensation Package: Compensation for this position includes $100-120k, medical, dental and life insurance.

Software Engineer

A full-service IT consulting firm is in need of a Software Engineer for their Waltham location. Ideally the individual would not be against or unable to multi-task. There are many different components in day to day activities that take place in this role. The components would include C#, ASP .NET Programming/Web Design, some QA/QC, Script debugging, and Database work. There are many utensils and platforms that are used, but what is largely used is .NET based (VB .NET, ASP, C#) and SQL SERVER, POSTGRESQL, MYSQL. If the individual is willing to learn and apply themselves there is the opportunity for growth into other Engineering positions. There is ample training and time given to the candidate to gain the correct knowledge to perform this position. Though, the individual will have to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to do independent research. A year of experience and knowledge of Java is require and experience with Web Services, XML, PHP, JavaScript, classic asp, MYSQL DB, etc is highly regarded.
